Meets

Wednesday 7:00 AM Santa Barbara Club 1105 Chapala Street Santa Barbara,CA

Welcome

We are an active club of men and women of many professions with a strong desire to enjoy one another's fellowship and to provide service above self to the less fortunate.

About the RC of SB Sunrise Charitable Foundation

Raising funds annually through our Annual Golf Tournament and Old-Time Fiddler's Festival, we are able to provide grants to local non-profit organizations, fund international projects and support study and cultural exchange opportunities for students and young professionals. We also enjoy in mixing fun into our projects through humor at our meetings, vocational mixers, conventions, and parties.

Sunrise members volunteer to assist SEE International with eye surgery projects in Mexico and elsewhere. We cooperate with other Rotary clubs to provide wheelchairs in many countries, to individuals who cannot walk.

COMMUNITY SERVICE - 2008/2009

The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise provides assistance to the local community via its Community Service Committee. Our club is engaged in seven projects which have become annual activities and for the year 2008-9, we are embarking on two new areas of service.

The seven continuing projects are: (1) Maintenance of the Rotary Picnic Area at Elings Park, (2) Youth Symphony Ushering, (3) Salvation Army Bell Ringing, (4) Enhancement of the Boys & Girls Club Camp Whittier, (5) 3rd Grade Dictionary Project for Santa Barbara area Elementary Schools, (6) Maintenance at El Puente High School, and (7) Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.

The two new projects are (8) working with the SB Public Library on Adult Literacy and (9) coordinating a Team Rotary to participate in the various walk-a-thons, bike-a-thons, and beach clean-ups that occur in Santa Barbara throughout the year.

If you have an interest in any of these activities please contact us regarding future participation.
